Dear Parents,
Here's the scoop on the week! No hair dye or face paint this week.
Monday: dress like what you want to be when you grow up; minute-to-win-it 8th vs. teachers in the afternoon.
Tuesday: PJ day; movie and lunch in the gym
Wednesday: mass with grandparents and special guests; class color day (we have black)
Thursday: Crazy dress day; bounce house from 8:30-9:15; adoration 10:15-10:30
Friday: Jersey / Hat day (wear a hat for a $1); bring in a can of soup for the food pantry; ice skating in the afternoon; assembly in the morning
Don't forget the penny war! :)

Dear Parents,
This is the 1st week of the 3rd quarter. We are half way through the year and I am happy to say that these 7th graders are sure on pace to be great 8th grade leaders!
We are a week away from Catholic Schools Week. Please be sure to turn in the permission slip and the $ for the week. There are tons of very fun activities planned and a huge thanks go out to Christi Stutz and Megan Reischel for organizing the week!
Ski trip information and forms went out last week. Everything is due no later than February 2nd. There will not be any late forms accepted, so please get them in on time.
I hope everyone has a great week!!!
Many blessings,
Kim

Dear Parents,
This week is the end of the second quarter. I am amazed at how quickly time flies. Report cards will come home next week.
After we finish up on worms, the students will start their MAEFAR projects in science. It is all about mollusks, arthropods, echinoderms, fish, amphibians and reptiles. They will be drawing a picture of each and put information pertaining to each on the picture. It is a fun, creative project.
Have a wonderful week!
Many blessings,
Kim

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! I hope that 2018 brings each of you a new lease on life and a year of humor, family and love! I challenge each of you (and myself) to spend that 1% of the day in prayer and reading God's Word.
This week the students should have a "regular" week. I hope that it will give us the time to resettle and refocus on completing the end of the quarter strong. All science articles are due this week (8th on Tues; 7th on Wed; 6th on Thurs) with no exceptions of a late turn in, so please keep this in mind.
In case you haven't heard, my life was turned upside down the Monday before break. Long story short, the surgery was canceled due to insurance denying the surgery the night before it was to take place ("I'm too young"). It was decided I have a biopsy of the joint done to check for bacteria, this was done on December 26th in the hospital and should have taken 14 days to culture. Within a week, all 5 biopsies came back positive for bacteria. I am now on a 4 week IV antibiotic regimen. I am uncertain of the future, but will keep everyone in the loop as time passes.
I hope everyone had a great break!
Many blessings and lots of prayers,
Kim
