Dear Parents,

The pig test is OVER!  The class average was the highest I have ever had!  Great work done by most!  I am so proud of their efforts!  The kids will get their test back next week.

Monday:  9:00-9:30 Mr. Joy (4thgrade/4k parent) is coming to talk about internet safety with the middle schoolers.

Tuesday morning we will have a dress rehearsal for the program that is Tuesday night at 7:00.  It is a mandatory attendance, so I hope to see everyone there.  You will see and hear singing, ukulele playing, sewing projects, art masterpieces, snack and so much more!  Please join us in the gym for an hour of fun!  Students need to be here by 6:45, please have them dress nicely.

Wednesday we have church with Fr. Randy.  Please feel free to join us if you can make it!

Thursday and Friday, the kids in safety patrol head to the Dells either for an overnight or all day Friday.  If there is work due, be sure to turn it in before going!

This is our last full week of the year!  Can hardly believe we are almost done!  I am so very proud of how much this class has matured.  They are outstanding young people with whom I am proud to say truly grew on me to becoming one of my all time favorites (and after 23 years that says a lot, I think)!  I can't wait to see what God does with each of them in the future!!!

Many blessings,
Kim

Dear Parents,

The HUGE deal happening this week is THE PIG TEST!  The kids have been studying (in quite a variety of ways) hard and hopefully it will pay off with the earning of a great score.  The test is Wednesday during science class.  I know they are nervous, but I also know that they have made the effort to study hard.  🐷🐖🐽  "Oink, oink"

The 7th graders will be leading Families on Friday in celebration of the 8th graders.  Each 7th grader will guide family members in a couple of activities that the 8th grader will get to take with him/her.  It is fun to see the 7th graders genuinely excited about being leaders next year.  I can't wait to see them in their prime next year!

The class is planning to compete in the lip sync contest the afternoon of field day.  The vast majority in the class have chosen to participate in some way, shape or form.  There are 2 that are holdouts and hopefully as time gets closer and with the encouragement of their classmates, they will join in.  This has been a good bonding experience for the kids.  I have enjoyed watching some of the leadership roles change a little bit and some of the followers are giving more and more ideas.  LOVE THIS!

Hope you have a great week!!!
Many blessings,
Kim

April 30th

Dear Parents,

WHAT AN OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE the kids gave us on Friday!!!  Again, I can not say enough about the 7th graders participation in the play!  I am so proud of their efforts and their willingness to give up so much time to do something we all enjoyed so much!

The pig dissection is over (for the most part...) and now the studying begins (or hopefully has already begun).  The test is scheduled for May 9th.  It should be VERY easy for the the kids who study and have participated in the dissection.  I told them that I am terrible at memorizing information, but knowing that I found ways to study that was helpful.  There is no excuse for doing poorly on this test as they have had an enormous amount of time to study.  We will take this upcoming week to study both together and in small groups.

This week is the "lunch box raffle" hosted by the Student Council and the boxes are created by the teachers.  Each teacher will pull a name out of his/her box on Friday and announce the winners.  This is always a time.  I look forward to figuring out who I get to take to lunch!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!
Many blessings,
Kim

Dear Parents,

Lots of weather changes happening in the last week!  Craziness!!!!  Hopefully the spring weather is here to stay and we can enjoy it to its fullest!

This week is the annual school play.  I am soooooo proud of many of the 7th graders for volunteering their time to this endeavor.  I can not wait to see how it goes Friday afternoon.  I know that it is a time consuming week, but hopefully they will find the experience to be full of confidence building activities.

The pig dissection has gone SO well!!!!  I am amazed at how well this class has taken on this lab experience.  We will finish it up this coming week.  The students have been reminded that the test is coming and that it is a BIG part of his/her grade.  Many have started studying and really doing a nice job; if he/she hasn't started studying I would HIGHLY recommend it happens asap.  The test is difficult, but completely doable.

I know I've said it a million times, but I am just so proud of the growth these kids have made this year.  As we draw close to the end of the year, their responsibilities are going to continue to grow.  They will be choosing families for next year and leading a family session this year, as well.  They have been so helpful to me and for that I don't think I could thank them enough.  Thank you for raising great kiddos!

As always, many blessings and lots of prayers,
Kim

Dear Parents,

Hopefully, you all have survived snowmaggend 2018!!!  Absolutely ridiculous in my opinion!!!!

This week the kids start the actual pig dissection!  We are so blessed because 2 of my former students, Molly Romaniak and Bridget Thompson, are going to come in and help out...  Don't think my ability to cut  anything with my left hand has improved too much!  :)

Wednesday is "Spring" (Ha ha ha) picture day!

Have a great week!

Many blessings,
Kim

April 9, 2018

Hey Everyone!

I am back from the surgery recovery!!!!  We made it through the 1st week back from spring break!

This week, the kids are finishing up the virtual pig dissection.  The actual dissection begins next Monday, April 16th.  It should take us about 2 weeks to finish it up....  The famous "pig test" is scheduled for May 9th.  It is a difficult test, but if he/she starts studying now all will go well.

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.  The kids have been so helpful and I can't begin to explain how fortunate I feel!

Many blessings,
Kim
